Since its founding, ICF has been dedicated to setting the highest standards in coaching, ensuring that coaches worldwide meet rigorous education, experience, and ethical requirements. In 2020, ICF evolved into a central hub for all things coaching, expanding beyond a membership organization to shape the future of the coaching industry.

ICF is a global leader in coaching excellence, bringing together key aspects of the profession, including accreditation, research, and a worldwide community of trained professionals. By leading the global advancement of coaching, ICF empowers coaches, businesses, and communities to unlock potential and create lasting impact.

What’s the right coaching path for you?

Whether you’re just beginning your coaching journey or looking to deepen your expertise, we offer educational programs aligned with the first two ICF credential levels. Depending on the course, you’ll be on track to earn your Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation.

Professional Coaching Program Level 1

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) Level 1 Program is a comprehensive training pathway designed for individuals aiming to become professional coaches. This program equips participants with the foundational skills and knowledge necessary to achieve the ACC credential, a globally recognized certification in the coaching profession.

Program Overview:

The Level 1 ACC program is tailored for those beginning formal coaching education. It emphasizes the development of core coaching competencies, enabling participants to facilitate transformational conversations and foster meaningful change in clients’ personal and professional lives. The curriculum blends theoretical frameworks with practical applications, ensuring learners can effectively apply coaching principles in real-world scenarios.

Professional Coaching Program Level 2

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) Level 2 Program is an advanced training pathway designed for experienced coaches aiming to deepen their expertise and achieve the esteemed PCC credential. This program emphasizes developing sophisticated coaching skills, enabling practitioners to facilitate profound and sustainable transformations in individuals and teams.

Program Overview:

The Level 2 PCC program is structured to bridge the gap between Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and PCC credentials. It focuses on equipping coaches with the insights to navigate complex coaching scenarios, mainly when working with senior leaders and within organizational contexts. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring participants are well-prepared to address nuanced challenges in professional coaching at elevated levels.

What’s the Difference Between Level 1 and Level 2?

Our Level 1 Professional Coaching Program is designed for those just starting their coaching journey and undertaking their first formal coach training. Graduates of this program will be equipped to pursue the ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential.

Our Level 2 Professional Coaching Program takes coaching to the next level, helping coaches shift their focus from solving problems to truly understanding the person behind them. This program is ideal for those who have completed Level 1 training with the Coaching Expert Team or another ICF-accredited provider. Graduates will be prepared to pursue the ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential.

ICF Level 1 + Level 2 Package

The ICF Package is a comprehensive learning path for individuals committed to progressing through the ACC and PCC credential levels. This package offers a powerful blend of foundational and advanced coaching development by combining Level 1 and Level 2 into a single, integrated journey. It supports long-term growth while providing cost savings and a seamless credentialing experience.

Program Overview:

This package begins with the ICF-accredited Level 1 program, which lays the foundation for effective, ethical coaching aligned with the ACC credential. Participants then move directly into the Level 2 PCC program, deepening their coaching presence, sharpening advanced competencies, and expanding their ability to work with greater complexity, especially in organizational and leadership settings. The combined structure ensures a smooth transition between levels, consistent mentorship, and a unified learning experience.

What Is Team Coaching?

As organizations increasingly rely on the collective power of teams to innovate, adapt, and achieve strategic goals, the demand for skilled team coaches is growing rapidly. Team coaching goes beyond one-on-one support—it helps entire teams unlock their full potential, improve collaboration, and navigate complexity together. Coaches specializing in this area have advanced skills to guide teams toward greater alignment, trust, and performance. With the right training, you will gain the proven competencies and best practices needed to support teams in a dynamic, fast-evolving business landscape.

ACTC

The ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) is a specialized credential for experienced coaches who want to deepen their expertise in facilitating team development and performance. This certification emphasizes advanced competencies necessary to navigate the complexities of team dynamics, enabling practitioners to foster cohesive and high-performing teams.

Program Overview:

The ACTC is structured to build upon existing coaching credentials, focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities inherent in team coaching. It equips coaches with the skills to manage intricate team interactions, establish effective coaching agreements with multiple stakeholders, and promote sustainable team autonomy. The curriculum integrates theoretical foundations with practical applications, ensuring participants address the nuanced demands of team coaching at an advanced level.

What is ICF Continuing Coach Education (CCE) Accreditation?

CCE accreditation is designed for organizations that offer advanced, specialized learning experiences for professional coaches. It supports coaches in deepening their expertise, expanding their skillset, and meeting requirements for credential renewal. By offering CCE-accredited programs, you not only contribute to the ongoing development of individual coaches—you also help elevate the standards and impact of the coaching profession as a whole.

Coaching skills

CCE accreditation is your gateway to delivering powerful learning experiences for coaches who are eager to elevate their skills, unlock new levels of expertise, and renew their credentials. By empowering their continuous growth, you’re shaping individual careers and advancing the coaching profession.

Program Overview:

Your curriculum should be centered around one of the following to help with coach development:

  • Core Competencies: Directly relates to or expands upon the ICF Core Competencies. This type of CCE education aims to deepen a coach’s practical skills and knowledge, enhancing their ability to coach clients effectively according to ICF’s highest standards.
  • Resource Development: Focuses on skills that complement coaching, like business development, personal growth, coaching tools and assessments, or other material that falls outside the ICF Core Competencies. This type of CCE education provides additional knowledge and resources that help coaches expand their expertise and support their overall effectiveness, including areas that indirectly enhance their coaching.

Support for coaches

Professional coaching is a continuous journey of growth, reflection, and refinement. We offer dedicated support through ICF-accredited Mentor Coaching and Coaching Supervision—two powerful practices designed to elevate your effectiveness and presence as a coach. Mentor Coaching focuses on enhancing your alignment with the ICF Core Competencies, offering structured feedback, developmental dialogue, and insights that strengthen your confidence and skill. Coaching Supervision provides a reflective space to explore your coaching practice, navigate complex dynamics, and ensure ethical integrity. Whether you’re pursuing your next credential or deepening your mastery, this support is here to help you grow with clarity, courage, and care.

What is Mentor Coaching?

Mentor Coaching is a vital part of a coach’s professional journey, offering reflective support to deepen their coaching skills in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies. It’s more than feedback—it’s a developmental partnership that strengthens your ability to coach with greater presence, confidence, and impact. Whether you’re preparing for your next credential or enhancing your mastery, Mentor Coaching helps you grow through focused guidance, structured observation, and meaningful dialogue. With the right mentor, you will gain insight into your coaching style and elevate your effectiveness in service of your clients.

What is Coaching Supervision?

Coaching Supervision is a reflective practice that supports coaches in deepening their self-awareness, enhancing professional competence, and maintaining ethical integrity. It offers a safe space to explore coaching experiences, gain fresh perspectives, and evolve your practice through dialogue, insight, and feedback. More than just oversight, supervision nurtures continuous growth—strengthening your capacity to navigate complex client dynamics, build resilience, and stay aligned with ICF standards. With the right supervisor, coaching becomes not only more effective, but more impactful and sustainable.
